Available on 30-day rolling, 12-month, and 24-month contracts. All include Data Rollover (unused data carries to the next month), unlimited calls and texts, and 5G on eligible tiers. Annual rise: fixed £2.50/month each April — disclosed in pounds and pence at sign-up since January 2025.
O2 Refresh model: your bill splits into a Device Plan (0% interest, 24 or 36 months) and a separate Airtime Plan. Pay off the device balance early to switch to SIM Only or upgrade via Switch Up at 11 months. More transparent than bundled contracts from most other networks.
O2 PAYG Big Bundle add-ons for 30 days. A social tariff Essential Plan is available for customers on qualifying benefits — this plan carries no annual price rise. Standard PAYG rates without a bundle are expensive; always add a bundle.
Supported on iPhone XS+, Samsung Galaxy S20+, Google Pixel 3+. Activate via My O2 app or QR code. Apple Watch Cellular supported. O2 also launched the UK's first satellite-to-mobile service (Starlink partnership, 2026) for rural dead zones.
O2 claims 99% outdoor population 4G coverage. 5G Standalone (SA) network reaches approximately 70% of the UK population across 450+ towns and cities. O2 participates in the Shared Rural Network (SRN) to extend 4G coverage to remote rural areas previously unserved by any network.
O2 includes free EU roaming on all standard consumer plans — 25GB across 48 EU/EEA destinations at no extra charge. This applies to SIM Only and Pay Monthly. Higher tiers add worldwide destinations via O2 Travel add-ons.
Weekly freebies, 48-hour early access to event tickets, and partner discounts — free for all O2 customers via the My O2 app.
Unused monthly data automatically carries to the next month on all O2 plans. You never lose data you have paid for.
